Positive Changes are Happening!

Here at Over the Top Weddings and Events, we have some very exciting changes taking places! Not only have we added custom stationery to our company, but we have launched a new website! We will continue to update this blog with our events and other information, but will we also begin to add insider tips, trends, and tricks for wedding and event planning. Additionally, our new website will combine our events and stationery into one place. So, here is an easy break down on where to find what you are looking for:


  • Our new website: www.overthetopfairhope.com
    • This site will have all of our wedding and event information and packages, as well our our event portfolio photos. It will also have our stationery with printing prices, which is available for local pickup or shipping. At some point in the (hopefully near) future, we will add a digital file option should a customer want to print their own. 
    • We are trying our best to upload stationery to this site as quickly as possible. If there is something you want that is not posted, please contact us. We also create custom orders.
  • Our blog: http://ottevents.blogspot.com-
    • This blog will have all of our wedding and event information and packages, as well as our portfolio photos. We will begin to add tips and tricks to event planning and trends. There will be links to our website and Etsy page on our blog.
  • Our Etsy page: www.etsy.com/shop/overthetopextras-
    • Currently, our Etsy page has stationery available in the form of digital files only for you to print yourself or take to a copy shop to print. At some point in the (hopefully near) future, we will add a printing option, but presently, this page focuses only on digital stationery files. 
    • Once we complete the "construction" process of our new website, the files on our website will be identical to the files on our Etsy page. The only difference (for a time) may be use printing the product for you (our website) vs. you purchasing the digital file (Etsy).

Favorite Things Party- The Perfect Girls Night In!

Alright, y'all.... This has been one of my favorite parties of all time. I have attached the photos from it and I hope you can tell how much fun we had!
Here is how it works: Each person picks their favorite things that is $6 or under. Once the item is chosen, each person brings 5 to exchange. Upon arrival, you add your name to the martini glass 5 times. Then someone starts by telling why they chose the item they did, as well as draws 5 names for those people to receive the item. The last person to be drawn goes next and so on.
We had a blast!! This party will definitely be repeated!!

We are adding new things each day and are happy to accept custom orders. Most items are digital, which allows you the freedom to print where ever and how ever many you want!

I have made no secret that my favorite thing at a party/event is the favor, so of course we have favor tags, invitations, water bottle labels, thank you notes, etc. Please check us out, tell a friend, and give us a holler if we can create something just for you!!

Welcome 2012

Hello to all,


With each new year, we are all excited and optimistic to see what will be in store for us. I wanted to take a moment to reflect on how blessed we have been to be able to do what we love and to assist in giving each bride her dream day. Now that the holidays have passed us once again, many newly engaged couples are optimistic about their future together and wedding dreams have begun. I wanted to include a little information for brides to consider as they begin their planning to show the benefits of hiring a wedding planner/producer to ensure that they have a fairytale (and stress-free) day.

Do you need a Wedding Consultant?

Planning a wedding can take months or just one phone call. Using the services of a wedding consultant sounds like a good idea, but do you really need one? Can you afford one?

First, consider the basic tenants about weddings and wedding planning:

Below you will find information on wedding services we provide. Please keep in mind that all packages are customizable. This is just a guideline to services we provide.

At Over the Top Events we specialize in organizing stylish, unique weddings that will make your dream come true.

We offer the full range of wedding services with a personal touch from  helping you find the perfect venue for your reception, ensuring that fittings for your wedding dress run smoothly and liaising with your caterers and other vendors.

Depending on your wishes and in accordance with your budget, we can provide several levels of service.

Full-service planning

We will take care of all the details, including (but not limited to) invitations, floral and seating arrangements, wedding favors, hotel accommodations for your out-of-town guests, transportation and more.

On the day of your wedding, we will provide on-site support so that you can relax and enjoy your special day with your guests.

Get Me Started Package
This package is meant for clients who wish to plan their wedding but need help getting started. This package includes:
    • Practical planning advice
    • Tips on etiquette
    • Budget preparation
    • Vendor referrals- 2 in each category
    • Personalized Wedding time line and roles of attendants.
    • Advice on design and decor.

    This investment starts at $300.

    Make My Day Perfect Package
    This package is for clients who have planned their wedding but want direction of the rehearsal, ceremony, and reception for a flawless day. This package includes:
    • Two hours of face-to-face consultation prior to your wedding to discuss, finalize, and confirm all wedding arrangements
    • Unlimited phone calls, emails, and texts
    • Personalized itinerary and time line furnished to all of your wedding vendors and wedding party
    • Etiquette tips
    • Walk through of ceremony and reception sites
    • On site direction of rehearsal, ceremony, and reception. (12hours to be divided as needed between 3 events. If needed longer, hourly charge is $50/hour).
    • Ensure delivery, set up, and break down of all accessories, rentals, and decorations at ceremony and reception site
    • Make sure all items are given to designated person to be delivered to wedding couple
    • Two event producers at rehearsal, ceremony, and reception . If additional assistant needed, it will  be billed at $200 for first 8 hours, $50 per hour for additional time needed.

    This investment starts at $950.

    Complete Planning Package
    This package is designed for clients who need help throughout their wedding planning. This package includes:

      • Four hours of face-to-face consultation prior to your wedding to discuss, finalize, and confirm all wedding arrangements
      • Unlimited phone calls, emails, and texts
      • Personalized itinerary and time line furnished to all of your wedding vendors and wedding party
      • Event concept and design
      • Etiquette tips 
      • Budget development and analysis 
      • Maintaining and tracking all payments
      • Vendor suggestion and confirmations
      • Walk through of ceremony and reception sites
      • Design of seating charts for ceremony and reception
      • On site direction of rehearsal, ceremony, and reception. (14 hours to be divided as needed between 3 events. If needed longer, hourly charge is $50/hour).
      • Ensure delivery, set up, and break down of all accessories, rentals, and decorations at ceremony and reception site
      • Make sure all items are given to designated person to be delivered to wedding couple
      • Two event producers at rehearsal, ceremony, and reception . If additional assistant needed, it will  be billed at $200 for first 8 hours, $50 per hour for additional time needed.


      This investment starts at $1850.

      The Ultimate Dream Package
      This package is designed to totally pamper the bride. It is all inclusive from the engagement to the honeymoon. This package includes:
      • Six hours of face-to-face consultation prior to your wedding to discuss, finalize, and confirm all wedding arrangements
      • Unlimited phone calls, emails, and texts
      • Personalized itinerary and time line furnished to all of your wedding vendors and wedding party
      • Event concept and design
      • Etiquette tips 
      • Budget development and analysis 
      • Maintaining and tracking all payments
      • Vendor suggestion, scheduling of vendor appointments, accompany bride to each vendor appointment, and confirmation of vendors
      • Assistance in choosing wedding party attire
      • Help establish registries
      • Walk through of ceremony and reception sites
      • Design of seating charts for ceremony and reception
      • On site direction of rehearsal, ceremony, and reception. (16 hours to be divided as needed between 3 events. If needed longer, hourly charge is $50/hour).
      • Ensure delivery, set up, and break down of all accessories, rentals, and decorations at ceremony and reception site
      • Make sure all items are given to designated person to be delivered to wedding couple
      • Two event producers at rehearsal, ceremony, and reception . If additional assistant needed, it will be billed at $200 for first 8 hours, $50 per hour for additional time needed
      • Assist in writing engagement announcement and submitting it to the appropriate newspaper(s).
      • Assist in paper selection, such as invitations, save the date cards, etc.
      • Type information to take to the calligrapher for invitations, save the date cards, or any other wedding stationary
      • Schedule and confirm day of beauty.
      • RSVP tracking.
      • Assist in finding accommodations for out of town guests
      • Provide itinerary, maps, and/or directions to guests.
      • Assist in honeymoon plans.
      This investment starts at $3500.

      ** All materials must be purchased by the bride.

      Our Team:

      Brittany Schneider, owner, has an extensive history in wedding and event planning. Upon earning her wedding planning certification in 2001, she has been planning weddings and events all along the Gulf Coast. Over the Top Events is her passion, as she enthusiastically lives and breathes parties. She is a graduate of the University of South Alabama and resides in Fairhope with her husband and daughter.



      Candace Antinarella, event planner and producer, is a graduate of the University of Alabama and has a long history of working in the hospitality industry. Her love of wedding planning started with her own in 1997 and she has continued to gain knowledge to make her the professional she is today. She resides in Fairhope with her husband and two sons.



      Kristen Corley, event planner and producer, is extensively creative and detail oriented. She has been working with Over the Top Events for many years and only excels as time goes on. She lives in Spanish Fort with her husband and son.



      Sarah Cranton, event planner and producer, is our newest member to the team. Sarah shares the love of events and parties and has an abundance of creativity. We are very excited to have her with us! She resides in Mobile with her husband and daughter.
